Maverick started his life in a Minnesota fur farm. When he was very young a woman from Beverly Hill’s, Calif. purchased him as a pet. Maverick acted like any young bobcat, biting, playing rough and scratching anyone and everything. The woman's husband told her that young Maverick would have to go. Maverick was then moved from one home to another, ending up with an animal dealer. Do to his habit of biting the dealer was unable to sell the young cat. When all other attempts to place him failed, we were contacted to take Maverick and finally provide him with a permanent home.
When Maverick first arrived in late June 1999, he was still only about a year old and was very frisky. With a lot of attention, care and loving training he settled down and stopped his habit of biting. He is a joy to have here and a very loving cat.
Maverick is never alone because he and his friend Shasa live together and enjoy each others company very much. They can often be seen grooming each other or sleeping all curled up together on their fire hose bed.
